What a pleasant surprise. When checking in I learned that Carmel Inn & Suites is also home to the John Folse Culinary Institute. During our stay, the Institute did a formal dinner for Nicholls State University faculty in “Russian service style”. A stunningly impressive banquet room setting all explained to me by Greg Gaubert, the Inn’s Managing Partner. The Inn is located on Bayou Lafourche and is within walking distance of the historic downtown area.
