“I’ll Be Back!”

As an international traveller, I recently stayed at the Carmel Inn and both Greg and Rhonda were unfailingly helpful, hospitable and attentive. I stayed for almost five weeks and there was no falling off of their standards. The rooms were regularly cleaned and linen and towels replenished and they attended to any requests quickly and quietly. I did not have a car so the availability of breakfast every morning and an evening meal four times a week was a major bonus and a convenience that was much appreciated. Their staff were also helpful, hardworking and polite. I fully intend to make good my threat of returning with my full family when we attend our son’s graduation at Nicholl state university in 2015! I work for a large agricultural farm implement company and stayed on the property for over two months while transitioning my family to Thiboduax. The owners, Greg and Rhonda, made me feel like family. I enjoyed the Bistro on site, the free hot breakfast daily, and the evening meals were always good and had a wide variety. The staff was warm and friendly and I plan on staying there again with my family until our new house is finished. I never had a problem. Room was always clean, the gym was nice to use at anytime I wanted. The room I stayed in had fridge, microwave, and free wi-fi.I can’t say enough on the hospitality and central location to Thibodaux.

Had a friend come down for a visit, took them to Carmel Inn to use as a base camp so we could visit the old river plantations. Each one is different. Carmel Inn have some of the best beds I have slept in, in the top 5 of the world and you get breakfast and supper with the room, Mon. thru Thur. Ask front desk on what to see, they want to help. I will be back.

We love locally owned hotels and this was a jewel. It’s a family owned property that used to be a Holiday Inn and has been upgraded over the years into a very nice property. I especially like being able to unload my car in front of my room.
The rooms are clean, fresh and comfortable. The bedding and linens are newer and the bath was spotless The breakfast was much better than expected; fresh scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, fruit, waffles, juice and more An unexpected surprise was a complimentary light dinner during the week days and this evening we had brisket, chow mien, vegetables, salad and desert. Yes, would stay here again and the price was much less than the chains; a real value.

“Great Experience in Thibodaux”

I was very pleased with the service I received at Carmel Inn and Suites on Thursday evening, April 3rd.
I needed a room for an out-of-town guest and Gerard Laverne assisted me on the phone in booking my reservation. He was professional and courteous in his assistance. Anthony Lauricella helped me with the check-in on Thursday evening of my guest. He was prepared for the guest’s arrival and was efficient in gathering the necessary information. He was polite and helpful in giving information about the breakfast hours and check-out times, as well as giving directions to the room. Both Gerard and Anthony facilitated in making the Carmel Inn and Suites a pleasant experience. The out-of-town guest said the hotel services and sleep quality of the room was exceptional.
